"The Simpsons" now in high-def and new adequate intro

1213 hits
The longest runing cartoon series "The Simpsons" will finally be broadcasted in high-definition and will get a new adequate intro.

Starting with todays episode "Take My Life, Please" (20x10) the series will not only be broadcasted in HDTV, but will also contain a new intro. The new intro immediately contain a side blow on HDTV which can be seen during Bart's detention work on the table. It can be seen a slight usage of 3D-animation for the camera-panning through the city of springfield as well. The intro had been almost untouched since the series premiere in 1989 with exception of slight variations and speeds and the Halloween special intros.

The creative minds behind the show do know hd-drawings because of "the Simpsons Movie" and even 3D-animation had been used in it. A similar aethestic can be expected for the series. Fox will broadcast "the Simpsons" on their channel in 720p.
